pl_synth is Dominic Szablewski's love letter to small, capable music tools. Written in C and JavaScript, it packs instruments, patterns, and arrangements into a minimal JSON format that can be edited by hand or generated by code.
The accompanying tracker gives each of eight tracks its own instrument and pattern sequence. The result is a complete, self-contained music system small enough for demos and expressive enough for real compositions.
